Raskin Law Office proudly serves our military community.
Mr. Raskin was an active duty Surface Warfare and Special Operations (EOD) officer. He recently retired from the Navy Reserve. He has lectured and written regarding a variety of issues that occur with military clients. He is proud to be on the Civilian Attorney Referral List at the Legal Assistance Offices in Region Southwest. Military and their families are provided a free initial consultation and Raskin Law Office gives a 20-33% discount on hourly rates.
Mr. Raskin has significant experience addressing military divorce issues. All aspects of a divorce can be affected by military status, including property/pension issues, support (including addressing MILPERSMAN 1754-030 claims with CO's, XO's, CMC/SEA's and JAG officers advising the chain of command), custody & visitation (and the military moveaway case), and more.
Mr. Raskin has also represented Military members accused of domestic violence in Family Law and Criminal (Misdemeanor and Felony) courts. He has written on the subject of the Lautenberg Amendment and military clients. If you are military and accused of domestic violence, you need to ensure that your attorney knows the unique issues facing a military member. Do not lose hope, and do not discuss your case with anyone without obtaining legal advice.
If either spouse is an active-duty or drilling reservist, the Family Law case has unique issues. Raskin Law Office encourages both parties to attend the free seminars on divorce offered by the Legal Assistance Departments in Navy Region Southwest. If lawyers need to get involved, the knowledge gained in the seminars will reduce your costs.
Thank you for your service.
